Purposes of cross-examination questions and critical thinking questions

Cross-examination is the very essence of critical thinking.

It works in tandem with data, evidence, and warrants.

Being self reflective about questions:
1) Goal
2) Specificity of questions
3) unpacking
4) setting up opposites/polarizations
5) establishing commonality
6) identifying premise or lack of premises
7) uncovering distinctions (or perhaps
8) contradictions or tensions

Note: these are macro, high level purposes….versus micro, low level ones.
