Questions to ponder

• Where can students find quality arguments?
• What articles/arguments would be on the ultimate list of best arguments ever?
• Where can students find the everydayness of debate?

I liked “Dream” as well as “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” from MLK.

I’ve also liked a number of speeches from Marian Wright Edelman–she is the founder of the Children’s Defense Fund. There are a number of videos on YouTube.

Ms. Clinton’s speech to the UN during her president’s administration was pretty good–its about women’s rights (I don’t agree with 100%, but its good none-the-less)

Maya Angelou is quite good as well.

Gift of Speech has a number of good speeches by women. Barbara Jordan is quite good.

There are a number of TED talks which are quite good.
