My thoughts on constructing arguments based on my experience in lincoln-douglas debate

Arguments based on purpose/mission/values
Arguments based on distinction (prefer ours)–how reality operates
Arguments based on framing
Arguments based on definition/tautology
Arguments based on wisdom/character/aphorism
Arguments based on causality, logic, emotion, & justice. (arguments based on tradeoff)
Arguments based on history
Arguments based on story
Arguments based on metaphor/analogy
Arguments based on alternatives
Arguments based on assumptions
Arguments based on data, stats, science, & reality
Arguments based on systems and holism
Arguments based on perspective/authority
Arguments based on root cause/source/worldview/system/-ism (group of similar arguments)
Arguments base on language/discourse (critique type arguments)
Arguments which critique the oppositions value system
Arguments which pre-empt or re-frame or re-prioritize or which critique the types of arguments they offer

* Arguments based on expertism
* Arguments based on criteria
* Arguments based on types of conflict (?)
* Arguments based on “the other” or exclusion or isms or dehumanization
* Arguments based on US vs. world experience (or the resolutional framing on this issue).
* Argument based on consensus of field or consensus of scholars
* Argument based on common ground ?
* Thats irrelevant because.
* Even-if argument
* Arguments based on worst case scenario?
* Arguments based on hypothetical
