What is the goal of the final speeches in debate?

Certainly to own the nexus question/gateway/voting issues–which could include ultimate value/framework (the writing the ballot test)
And give the following:

1) The best evidence (credibility)
2) The best reasons
3) The best comparisons/stories/framings

Do it in a way thats clear & pre-empts the other sides arguments (generally by subsuming, comparions, boxing out, and by even-if framing)

* Note: these discussions above the so-called game board are often called meta-questions.

I seem to remember previously doing a post on the “levels of arguments” in debate from the micro to the macro–which I want to turn into a visualization.

It would also be nice to contrast the focus of various speeches in relation to blowing things up, argument development, etc…
